Bug ID: 524855
Summary: Focus terminal keybindings broken
Classification: Applications
Product: konsole
Version First 26.08.0
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: keyboard

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
After upgrading from Konsole version 26.04.3 to version 26.08.0 the 'Focus
Left/Down/Up/Right Terminal' keybindings do not work properly.
I have Alt+H/J/K/L set in `Konsole > Settings > Configure Keyboard Shortcuts`
to navigate between terminals but I have also observed the same behhaviour with
the default Ctrl+Shift+Arrow keybindings.
After downgrading only konsole with `sudo pacman -U
/var/cache/pacman/pkg/konsole-26.04.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst`
the keys work as expected again so this appears to be a regression with Konsole
and not the rest of the system.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Konsole and create terminal splits
2. Press any of Ctrl+Shift+Arrow to navigate
3. Observe incorrect behaviour
OBSERVED RESULT
- with multiple top/bottom splits
- Ctrl+Shift+Down always navigates to the second terminal instead of down
- Ctrl+Shift+Up does nothing
- with multiple left/right splits
- Ctrl+Shift+Left does nothing
- Ctrl+Shift+Right always navigates to the second terminal instead of right
- with multiple left/right splits and top/bottom splits
- Ctrl+Shift+Left either does nothing or navigates to the first terminal if
the second terminal is selected instead of left
- Ctrl+Shift+Up does nothing
- Ctrl+Shift+Down navigates to the second terminal in the selected column
- Ctrl+Shift+Right almost works correctly but when navigating past the last
pane it wraps back to the second terminal
EXPECTED RESULT
Focus terminal keys focus the correct terminal
