What it looks like to enter edit mode
DESCRIPTION
When entering Edit Mode, the desktop and widgets appear to be placed behind an
opaque panel of sorts. It's still possible to move and edit the widgets, but
you can't actually see what you're doing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
It's unclear what causes this, and thereby how to reproduce it. As reported in
this Reddit post

the issue seems to appear after some time of regular use. Most likely after an
update, but since I and most people don't use Edit Mode on a regular basis it's
hard to know precisely when and what caused it to happen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tried updating the system several times (this has been going on for
months), switching to an x11 session and troubleshooting my graphics drivers.
Nothing has worked and what I've been able to read online the only (temporary)
fix seems to be reinstalling the whole OS. Here are some forum threads

(In this thread a solution was found by emptying the contents of
"~/.config/plasmawindowedrc". This fix did not work for me.
