            Bug ID: 526188
Summary: Feature request / UX improvement: customizable battery
                    model for the icon
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First master
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Power and Battery widget
          Assignee: [email protected]

  Target Milestone: 1.0

DESCRIPTION:
As per the quick discussion with Nate (Graham) at Akademy:
I propose being able to choose the battery which is displayed by the battery
icon in the plasmoid (and thus the systray, if in systray)

REASONING:
Depending on your devices, an auto detection / smart logic doesn't make sense.
Example: on my desktop I don't have a built-in battery (duh) but I do have
devices connected that do have batteries, e.g. my mouse, or a gamepad. I would
like to see the power state of these at a first glance, without having to click
or hover anything, especially as the icon of the plasmoid itself is there since
I want and need the plasmoid, but it's not displaying anything interesting.
Thus it's a bit of a waste of space.

PROPOSAL:
An additional dropdown in the already existing plasmoid settings, being able to
choose any of the current available batteries. Note: depending on our logic and
enumeration, in order to save that we would probably have to use some kind of
mostly unique identifier. But upower seems to provide these.

Bonus: people who have multiple devices could add multiple plasmoid and thus
monitor many of them, e.g. a separate icon for their wireless keyboard, mouse,
audio device or whatnot.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Irrelevant, applicable to all configurations
