Bug ID: 527223
Summary: wetter.com provider RIP?
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.8.0
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: Weather widget
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
Desktop Weather widget with a city that has wetter.com as a provider shows,
since roughly a week, "can not receive weather data... if this stays longer
than a day please report..." (roughly translated from German) while it worked
for months prior.
I hoped it would fix itself with the next update but with 6.8.0, I just
received (and rebooted), even the provider name vanished from the Desktop
Weather widget :(
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Desktop Weather widget with a German city that has wetter.com as a provider.
(Unfortunately for me wetter.com was the only provider that had my (smaller)
city and I kinda don't want to dox myself). Several other city names I tried
randomly, if available never showed wetter.com as the provider.
So my assumption is that wetter.com is no longer a valid provider? If someone
can confirm that, it is okay for me, well I try to accept it at least.
OBSERVED RESULT
"can not receive weather data..."
EXPECTED RESULT
Forecast of my local weather.
