Good news. A new contributor propose a new plugin implementation in github and
contact us to review and test :

https://github.com/mchugh19/immich-digikam/tree/main

I will works on it soon, probably next Friday to review all the implementations
for a future official digiKam 9.2.0 integration in the bundles.
