            Bug ID: 385984
Summary: Activity integration can be more fine-grained.
           Product: Plasma Vault
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: ivan.cu...@kde.org
          Reporter: cryptod...@libertymail.net
  Target Milestone: ---

The idea for vaults to follow activities is awesome.

I like the idea that I can assign which activities are allowed to see my vault
a lot.

What I expected to see here was a slightly different approach. I expected my
apps "recent files" and the "recent documents" concept as shown in the start
menu to take this into account.

What took me by surprise is that limiting a vault to an activity will actively
attempt to close the vault when you go to another one. I don't see the point of
that.
More specifically, it doesn't work. If you open a file in libreoffice then
Vault can't close an cryfs based mount.

My suggestion;

do not automatically unmount a Vault when its not assigned to an activity. You
should not list it in that activity, but unmounting itself should be optional.
