If the device is a USB attached file system but not a CD/DVD/BR, then set "Unmount all file systems on this device" as default action, and offer "Unmount only this file system" as an action in the list for the device. Then if you want to unmount and grab your thumb drive or USB hard drive, the default is perfect. If you are continuing to work with a multi-file system USB device, then you can select and specify which file system to unmount (or mount).
