--- Comment #2 from Jon <jfbcommerc...@gmail.com> --- I've verified that this is a "feature" rather than a bug. Sometime between the release of the Android KDE Connect app version 1.8.4, circa May 2018 and the 1.10 version circa November 2018, the software was updated to use the Android "Storage Access Framework", and "using /storage/emulated/0 directly is no longer allowed", according to reddit user /u/albertvaka. So, the bottom line is that if one is using Ubuntu 16.04 or earlier, they must use the 1.8.4 Android app. If using Ubuntu 18.04 or later, they may use any version after 10.1, including the current version at the Google Play Store (1.12.93). If using a 17.x release, you're on your own to figure out which works---I wasn't able to find reliable releases to download and test. I would suggest to the Android KDE Connect app folks that it would have been nice to detect being connected to an incompatible version of the desktop software and give a warning---that would have saved me some considerable time trying to figure out what was going on here. The message "/primary does not exist." in the file browser isn't very helpful in suggesting incompatible desktop vs. app software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
