Encoding is not parallelized. This is why it's so slow. Encoding a Canon EOS-R (30 Mpx) CR3 raw file (16 bits color depth) to HEIC (lossy compression) took... 45 seconds. But it work... VoilĂ . So for optimisation and improvement, all must be delegate to UPSTREAM libraries as said in comment #36. I close this file now.
