When a user adds or moves a widget, its position/dimensions are stored. 2. Whenever the resolution changes (or is initially set on boot), Plasma should parse the stored widget positions and dynamically reposition any widgets that would be off screen. Note that the widget's stored position would *not* be changed. This way, the user's desired widget position is preserved when the screen changes back to its native resolution.
