I took a closer look at your error message:

IN (SELECT id FROM TagsTree WHERE pid=1272)

There are no TagsTree in a MySQL / MariaDB database!
The TagsTree is only available in an SQLite database. How did you create the
MariaDB? Copied from SQLite? That does not work. To switch from SQLite to MySQL
you have to use the migration tool built into digiKam.
