Bug ID: 448952 Summary: Choice of Generic 105-key PC keyboard not honored after installation Product: systemsettings Version: 5.23.5 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_keyboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: m.seyfa...@gmail.com CC: butir...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** During installation on most distributions, I get the choice to chose my keyboard. The generic solution which works fine on standard keyboards is "generic 105-key PC keyboard". However, after the first login, this choice is not honored and the default keyboard in systemsettings changed to "generic 86-key PC keyboard". *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE / OBSERVED RESULT 1. Install a distribution with KDE/Plasma, such as openSUSE Tumbleweed. 2. Make sure the keyboard is set to "generic 105-key PC keyboard" during the installation which should already be the default. 3. After installation and a reboot, open systemsettings and the input devices section to validate your choice, the entry changed to "generic 86-key PC keyboard". EXPECTED RESULT The user's choice should be honored, in this case it should be set to "generic 105-key PC keyboard" SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Linux Next Next 20220121 KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
