IMO "Focus newly created archives in file manager" is just a bad idea to begin with, and if it is to stay it needs an option in ark's settings to control it. Preferrably one that is off by default. Apologies for blaming you for this, I guess you're just trying to make somebody else's "feature" work as intended.
