Bug ID: 466411 Summary: Privacy checkbox doesn't really explain what it does Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version: 5.27.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_activities Assignee: ivan.cu...@kde.org Reporter: jackhill3...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When editing/adding an activity, there is a checkbox called "Privacy". It has the label "Do not track usage for this activity". Personally I don't feel like this explains anything. What is meant by "usage"? What is being tracked? Where is this data stored, and how do I access/view it? Also, to me, the word "track" has negative connotations that I associate with Facebook, Google, Ad companies etc. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20230223 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.12-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
