We're a less than month away from Akademy! *This email has all the important 
information for the events we're planning,* *so** now is the time to make sure 
your registration is up to date and save your spot for all the things!* You can 
do this on the registration page here: https://conf.kde.org/event/9/

*Events Information:*

*RSVP to the events by August 25th *so we can give the final headcounts to the 
venues!

*For the welcome event:* KDE will be providing *food and drink tickets to 
attendees who RSVP* for the welcome event at Schleussenkrug 
<https://www.schleusenkrug.de/>, on Friday Sept 5th at 19:00.

*Accessibility Info: *The Biergarten is outside, the upper area is flat and 
accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, however there are stairs to the BBQ 
pit and additional seating.

*Weekend Lunch*: Double check your registration and make sure that you have 
reserved your lunch at Akademy so we make sure to order enough food (Check 
yes/no on the "would you like lunch provided for you?" question).

*For the social event:* Sunday, Sept 8th at 20:00

*Accessibility Info:* The public area (where we'll be) is wheelchair accessible.
*Make sure to RSVP* *so we can acquire the appropriate amount of Club Mate.*

*We have a very special Daytrip planned: *Detailed information will be on the 
website soon and communicated again before Sept 10th, but to get you excited, 
we will be doing:
 • A Scavenger hunt (wheelchair and stroller accessible) through Berlin lead by 
your local KDE friends!
 • Visiting the Computerspeilemuseum <https://www.computerspielemuseum.de/en/>
 • Descending upon Trattoria-Cinque <https://www.trattoria-cinque.de/> 
afterwards
*Queer Event:*
On Thursday the 11th at Lunch Time (~12pm) we will be heading to Queer Mama's 
Kitchen <https://www.queermamaskitchen.de/en>. Cost for a meal + drink is 
~15eur.

As always, no one is turned away from events for lack of funds. Don't hesitate 
to reach out to to the team if needed, we can help.

*We still need volunteers!* Help us make Akademy happen! Sign up for a 
volunteer shift or two here

*Akademy 2025 *T-shirt orders for delivery are now open *and are being handled

*Notes About Berlin:*
 • Cash is still king in many places so it will be useful to stop by an ATM.
 • Transit tickets can be purchased from the machines at the stations or from 
the BVG or Jelbi apps
 • Everything except biergartens and some restaurants are closed on Sundays*, 
so if you need to pick up snacks or toiletries, do that in advance.
