i think this already came up once on this mailing list? maybe not.. in any
case:
the concern was that kde-core-devel is too prone to low-signal discussion,
making communication and coordination difficult. those who started working
on frameworks wanted somewhere they could coordinate in a high signal
environment.
i was not sure i agreed with that approach, but i have to say that the last
few threads on this topic on k-c-d have supported their point :(
This sounds like a "If you are going to disagree we don't want you in" mantra,
which is kind of worrying.

It is, although there's a lot of "I like to criticize but I'm not
willing to work" which is not good either.
It can get like in football, where everybody is a better coach than the
one who's doing the job. :)
