Hi, For sure KTechLab is the best project to contribute in this area.
I want just to let you know that we also have a need for an electric simulator in GCompris [1]. We already had this activity in the Gtk+ version and we still have to port it to our KDE version of GCompris. We are also part of the next GSoC within KDE [2] We expect something for small children thus we have to stick to basic concepts but we can imagine many funny things and go further than what we did in the Gtk+ version.
