Please try to avoid patching the stuff in SPECS/ : I consider it deprecated by the plain-specfile stuff (which is in a different repository, though). Patching things in the Solaris/ directories -- that's the other part of our build infrastructure -- *is* still important because that gets called, from both the old (pspc) and new (spec) build contexts. Luc recently posted about those build contexts, which are supposed to have all kinds of specific variables set up. Not just CPPFLAGS, but also things like $_platform_suffix and $_is64. [ade]
