I would like to remind everyone subscribed to this list -- and more
specifically
those who are inclined to post -- that publishing unsubstantiated, misleading
and factually incorrect information on technical mailing lists is generally
considered to be Bad Form(TM).

There was no need whatsoever to generate extra email traffic and email TT
employees at home, on a weekend, just to verify that the information being
posted here about TT no longer supporting Solaris is factually incorrect. A
simple check of TT's web site (which may have required 2 extra clicks), along
with another simple check for the presence of

$(QT4)/mkspecs/solaris-cc/qmake.conf

and the corresponding

$(QT4)/mkspecs/solaris-cc-64/qmake.conf

in QT 4.4.0 would have been sufficient to verify that Solaris and Sun Studio
are
still supported at TT, along all the other UNIXes.

Please check the facts before posting. When in doubt, please ask questions via
private direct emails *first*. And ninethly, please keep in mind that the
actual
number of subscribers to a mailing list cannot be accurately determined by the
number of individuals who are "regulars".

Only Ade and myself replied to the OP. However, you can rest assured that the
OP
has already made the rounds to at least 100 email addresses you aren't aware
of,
including some email addresses at TT.

Thank you.
