Yes, this absolutely belongs in contrib/ . I want to have an IPS server serving these packages from somewhere less reputable first, so as not to pollute contrib/ and to allow early testing. If pkgsend(1) was available on nv104, there would be packages out today. As it stands, it will take another day. > (http://opensolaris.org/os/community/sw-porters/contributing/) I've spent the last week or so in reducing the dependencies considerably, so that the weight of KDE4 when installed is less and there are fewer components to track. This is a security gain, for sure. I need to check what the licenses are on all the components I would like to ship, to make sure that they are compatible. Us Free Software folk do try to keep the amount of license infringement we engage in ourselves to a minimum. Finally, I need to check the contrib/ policies on encryption and similar, because we do ship gpg and cyrus-sasl, tools which are not available on nv104 normally. That's something I'd want to talk to the security folk about in the medium term. [ade]
