Hello,

Well, it begins. I'm back to focus on the Sun Studio 12 builds of KDE 4.0 with
ports to Solaris 8 -> SXCR. This will become the most advanced desktop for the
Solaris OS with more artwork from a professional team of international artists
and some 3D generated artwork. We are reviewing some of the top KDE
applications to rival the user experience seen on Windows Vista - providing a
near Mac OS X "Aqua" experience.

Many years ago, I was experiencing the toppling of the Berlin Wall in which
"Pink Floyd : The Wall" was playing in the background. I'm labeling this
release from the album "The Dark Side of the Moon" since I was working on
images dealing with screenshots of the moon when I worked on this KDE 4.0 port
for Solaris.

Stefan may have KDE 4.0 (beta2) already implemented in CVSdude or internally
built at Sun. Checking with him on that.

Currently, we'll supplement this with StarOffice 8 (currently at: update 8).
OpenOffice 2.x with full language support and extension support is primarily
supported as well for Solaris 8-10 support.

This also brings over the Dolphin File Manager and updated Konqueror browser.
Trusted extensions is also on the list!

So rock on! We are firing up the grill to bring some of the best desktop
environments to Solaris. We have many roadblocks to conqueror, but this is why
I called it 'the dark side of the moon.'

P.S. I was going to fully update KDE 3.5.7 over at Blastwave, but with KDE 4.0
only two months away it seemed we should move everything to KDE 4.0 support.
I'll talk to Stefan and Dennis about this as I usually support the GCC build of
KDE 3.x.x over there.
