Kdesupport, kdelibs and kdepimlibs all build with minimal changes after some of the patches went upstream. kdebase is also not that hard to build (although only a fake phonon backend since we don't have xine yet). Okular (patches went upstream), kopete, marble, kget, etc.. also build with some trivial patching. It's all working just as well as on Linux (I'm using dolphin quite often, and okular on a day-to-day basis). Compositing is also working just fine (with all the nifty effects).
The problem is, not enough kde devs work on Solaris and so the build will keep on breaking with new changes...Hopefully this will change as more (Open)Solaris users will get involved. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
