sse is supported gast at ratte:~$ isainfo -x i386: ahf sse fxsr mmx cmov sep cx8 tsc fpu > We don't have any benchmarks that would justify or > not the use of any of the extra instructions, it > would be nice to get something out of the Qt's > QTestLib > I thought these days speed would come from HW accelerated open-gl. How would control-logic benefit much from streaming extensions (single instruction multiple data) anyway? Unfortunately the Hardware Compatibility list http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/os/ has no CPU entry. Therefor it is not really clear what the least common denominator is and what is still considered in scope. And as this is a user feedback collection I am not really sure what and where the plan is with respect to minimum HW requirements for OSOL. Rudi -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
