My OSOL (build 128a) system now says these things (snipped for brevity):
adridg at ham:~/src/kde4-specs-440/specs$ pkg info KDElibs
Name: KDElibs
Publisher: kdeips-dev
Version: 4.3.90
FMRI: pkg://kdeips-dev/KDElibs at 4.3.90,5.11-0.128:20100121T135418Z
adridg at ham:~/src/kde4-specs-440/specs$ pkginfo -l KDElibs
NAME: Libraries for KDE4
ARCH: i386
VERSION: 4.3.85,REV=1
INSTDATE: Dec 24 2009 16:35
Note how they do not match. This happened after I used pkgbuild's
upgrade_if_newer feature to bump KDElibs from the previous version (with an --
ips build). As you can see, it updates the IPS information, but not the SysV
pkg information. It also seems like pkgtool uses the SysV information to
determine what's installed, so it now keeps wanting to upgrade KDElibs from
4.3.85 to 4.3.90. I can't tell if this is a problem with pkgtool or with pkg,
though.
