 Thanks, Michael, for the libgsf "hint".  Why this should have become a
 problem, especially when I keep things up-to-date via a nightly dvsup of
 the ports tree and an at least every-other-day portupgrade -ar is a mystery.
 
 The problem I have with your suggestion of a binary upgrade is that the
 koffice on my system is at 1.4.2_2,1, which is the level of the binary
 presently available.  I've tried that route with the intervening
 upgrades only to have them fail because the installed level has been as
 current as the binary.  Go figure.
 
 This is not to argue with you - I'll certainly do the libgsf upgrade as
 recommended and we'll see what happens.
