These days, Konsole has a FreeBSD setting for the keyboard, but, at least on
my system, it doesn't really work very well. It's the Delete, Home and End
keys that are problematic.
I use csh and have the default bindkey entries in my .cshrc:
        bindkey "^W" backward-delete-word
        bindkey -k up history-search-backward
             bindkey -k down history-search-forward
though removing them doesn't seem to make any difference.
My /etc/ttys has xterm as the terminal type on ttyv8.

Delete doesn't work at the command prompt (just gives a ~), though it does
forward-delete in ee.
Home & End don't work at the command prompt or in ee.

If I set the keyboard to XTerm (XFree 4.x), the situation is partly reversed :
Home & End keys work at the command line but not in ee
Delete doesn't work at the command prompt but does in ee

Is the FreeBSD setting supposed to make those keys work correctly in konsole
or does it still require modifications to xmodmap or something?

Cheers,
