Hey,

Since the 3.5.3 update, I haven't been able to print properly.. I do not
use CUPS, just simple LPR print system..

I can print fine from commandline.. but when printing from KDE - I get
the following error:

/usr/local/bin/lpr -P 'lp' '-#1' '/tmp/kde-mich/kdeprint_HlQT59Md' :
execution failed with message:
mesg: ttyname: Operation not supported /usr/local/bin/lpr: Connection
refused

It would seem that kprinter uses lpq/lpr binaries installed from the
cups_base port, rather than the system version (/usr/bin/lpr)

Any reason why this should have changed ?

Am I forced to use CUPS ?

/mich
