Felix, you are an optimist. :) As far as I know FAT does not have inodes, which are specific to more traditional unix style file systems. And if the "inodes" where depleted, I would not have been able to create files in other directories. Nevertheless I've tried it, maybe it does the right thing, but: no numbers for this partition with "df -i".
