yes but can we please *please* get documentation of the whole package-
splitting thing on techbase so that we can point people there insted of having 
htis discussion again in three months?

I put a table of modules on the svn2git part of the movetogit page, hopefully 
that'll at least make it clearer how much work needs to be done... I 
discovered I'm acyually unsure about several modules I'd never heard of so I'd 
appreciate it if people could check the list and clarify stuff they have 
definite knowledge about. also, I was too tired to fill in all the bazillions 
of 
extragear apps that'll all get their own repos.
