Metal Stocks Outlook for the week - 02.12.2013 - 06.12.2013
www.rupeedesk.in

Non-ferrous metal stocks are seen gaining next week but stocks of ferrous
metal companies are likely to be down or subdued. For the long term, we
prefer Hindustan Zinc and NMDC. NMDC's valuations remain attractive when
compared to global peers. We have retained an overweight rating on NMDC as
we believe that the price difference between Indian and international ore
prices will narrow only in the long run. NMDC is a very good pick for a
short term basis.

Hindalco has expanded (capacity) recently; the company has not received
coal blocks for the same. Any benefits will only be seen in around two
years. On Hindustan Zinc, investors will eye the outcome of a meeting to be
chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Dec 3 to decide on the
divestment of government's stakes in the company and also in BALCO. If the
Dec 3 meeting does not take a decision on divestment of government stake in
Hindustan Zing
