Greetings from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA)!
The increasing complexity & sophistication of managing voluntary organisations
make capacity building of managerial staff of NGOs, and development
organisations crucial for maintaining and enhancing their organisational
effectiveness. Since 1992, IRMA has offered the Management Appreciation
Programme for Voluntary Agencies, popularly known as VOLAG-MAP, to meet the
growing need for professionalising the development sector. VOLAG-MAP is one of
the flagship programmes of IRMA in which close to 450 participants from India
and other developing countries such as Afghanistan, Azerbaijan Republic,
Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania have participated.
We have the pleasure of announcing the Seventeenth International Management
Appreciation Programme for Managerial Employees from Voluntary Agencies, which
will be held at IRMA during November 17 - December 12, 2008. Enclosed are the
brochure and nomination form for the VOLAG-MAP for your information. You may
like to sponsor employees from your organisation or partner organisations. You
may kindly make additional copies of the nomination form, if required. The
completed form along with non-refundable registration fee is due on October 15,
