The International
Federation is looking for candidate to be based in Gunung Sitoli, Nias  

for the post of Senior
Finance Officer. 

   

   

Key Tasks and
Responsibilities: 

   

1.       
Support
and advise the Head of Sub Office on the operational financial performance and
financial procedures are establish and adhered to in the Sub Office including;
Briefing new delegate and staff financial procedures from cash requests system
throughout to forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring proper cash 
management
system in line with the insurance coverage and expenditure requirements, and
regular Working Advance reconciliations by Delegates & staff  

2.       
Prepare
accurately the monthly accounts according to stated deadlines ensuring
compliance to the Federation Chart of Accounts and with monthly accounting
checklists. Expenditure is coded in accordance with project budget. 

3.       
Input
entries in the CODA system and ensure compliance with finance procedures,
balance sheet reconciliation complete with documentation and supporting files. 

4.       
Validate
all expenses incured by the operation ensuring respective approvals, authority,
account codes, trackinga and allocate expenses according to operational
activities as per approved budgets. 

5.       
Control
the Federation Bank account and supervise the Cash Account in cluding the cash
forecast, working advance requests and reconciliations, payments request,
coding, petty cash journal, paymnets through bank and cheques, MSA control,
income booking, cash counts and their reconciliation and reporting. 

6.       
Conduct
field monitoring visits for inetrnal audit and support the teams (train, advice
and effect payments on contracts where applicable). 

7.       
Produce
periodical financial monitoring reports for the project, payments for projects
managers/delegate and provide the necessary analysis as required. 

8.       
Assist
and advise HoSO in financial issues, e.g. core cast budget planning, project
budgets overview among others, analysis and projections. 

9.       
Supervise
and train subordinate staff,a nd properly maintain the Finance department
document.



Qualifications: 



Education:

·         Graduate or diploma in
related field 

.         Advance
university degree in Finance / Accounting / Management



Experience:

·         Experience of working for the
Red Cross/Red Crescent is preferred

·         1 year experience in related
works 

Skills/knowledge: 



·        
Computer knowledge in MS office

.         Accounting software CODA 

.        
Good communication skills in MS Office 

.        
Team member
