Vacancy Announcement  

Pelangi
Indonesia (www.pelangi. or.id), a
Jakarta, Indonesia based, not-for-profit non-governmental think-tank working in
policy analysis and policy advocacy in the area of climate change,
transportation and energy, is currently seeking candidates to fill the position
of Executive Director for the period of 2010-2013. The Executive
Director reports directly to the Board of Pelangi Indonesia. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

1.     
Leading and coordinating the operational of Pelangi Indonesia in
line with its vision, mission and annual, midterm as well as longterm plan; 

2.     
Ensuring the sustainability of Pelangi Indonesia; 

3.     
Ensuring the quality and timely delivery of Pelangi Indonesia's
projects and activities; 

4.     
Ensuring communication and/or collaboration with Pelangi
Indonesia's partners, donors and networks 

Qualifications: 

o    Master
Degree, preferably in the area of climate change, energy, transportation or
environmental;  

o    Outstanding
experience in the area of climate change (minimum 7 years), preferably in the
area of energy and transportation as well; 

o    Outstanding
experience in conducting policy analysis and policy advocacy; 

o    A strong
understanding of donor community as well as relevant partners in the area of
climate change, energy and transportation; 

o    Outstanding
experience in managing and leading team of researchers and team of
administration; 

o    A
strong multi-tasking skills; 

o    A strong
communication skills and networking at all levels; 

o    Proficiency
in English in both written and spoken, preferably other UN-language;
