Hello,

I recently set up krb5-1.2.3 on a Redhat/Linux box.
This install is to be used only as a client, the KDC
resides on another box. When I tried to do an initial
kinit to see if all is well I get the following response;

# ./kinit
kinit(v5): Configuration file does not specify default realm when
parsing name

I don't understand the error message, I do have my config
file at /etc/krb5.conf and it does define my default realm.

Would anyone know why this error/message is being generated?

Thanks,  Don
