Yes. I think the behavior with the kernel packages is correct. It
should not be upgraded by default. Same applies to kernel-source.
When is this going to be implemented in the kernel-linus series?

However. AFAIK there is nothing in the Mandriva framework that tells
the user that a newer kernel is available (RedHat's up2date does do
this). Perhaps this is something that should be addressed.
