I would be a lot more willing to test this kernel on my amd64 box if it 
*might* fix #21345 ...

AFAICS, this aspect should *really* not be a big impact, and it is easier to 
test (as it only impacts installation, upgrading, and installation/upgrading 
of other packages).

On another topic, will security update kernels be provided for Xen on x86_64? 
Xen kernels for x86_64 were shipped with the distro, Xen kernel updates are 
provided for i586, but I haven't seen any for x86_64.
