Well, that would present a few problems: - The 3rdparty dkms drivers would be likely to fall back and be imcompatible with the latest kernel. This would only affect cooker of course, so it may not be so important. - Users need to have kernel-source and gcc installed. Alternatively, if binary dkms packages are used, updates would be a problem: If the user updates the kernel (which has still to be done manually!), they need to install updated dkms binary packages manually (which are not even available :/ ) -- Anssi Hannula
