*The Lenovo C30 can boot the live system via eSATA*
I had problems to zsync the current daily Lubuntu Questing iso file, but
I could zsync the corresponding Ubuntu Desktop Questing iso file. And I
found a workaround.
I saw in the busybox (available after the complaints about /dev/sr0)
that the USB drive was not seen in the /dev directory, so I thought,
that maybe an SSD connected via eSATA might be more successful. And yes,
it works. As a bonus, wayland in the live system makes the live system
manage the nvidia graphics.

So there is still a bug, the USB boot drive is not seen as a device by
the new Ubuntu version (not in the /dev directory).
However, I have a workaround, and I look forward to several years
running some Ubuntu flavour in my Lenovo C30 workstation.

Title:
Daily Lubuntu Questing fails to boot in Lenovo C30
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Workaround: The Lenovo C30 can boot the Questing live system via eSATA
-o-
The failure happens rather early in the boot process. when booting Lubuntu
Questing from a USB pendrive. The grub menu is OK, but the process get stuck
with a repeated error output to the screen, '/init: line38: can't open
/dev/sr0: no media
...
Unable to find a medium containing a live image
Obviously I cannot report from the failing system, but I can attach
what was sometime written to the writable partition. (However, I am
not sure if [some of] it was written while booting in another
computer, a Dell Precision M4800, where it works.
Please notice that the same failure occurs when trying to boot Ubuntu
Desktop Questing, so I suspect that this bug affects several if not
all Ubuntu flavours, and I guess the linux kernel is to blame.
Please notice also that the output below about Ubuntu 22.04 was
produced automatically (but that version was possible to install, and
has been working for years). I am reporting a bug about Lubuntu (and
Ubuntu Desktop) *Questing*.
