Thanks! I think this series is good prep work for the real fix, which is to correctly handle the marker != last_marker case (merge update). This patchset will just say 'rebase', which is what the script comment suggests but isn't accurate. Instead this case happens with a nightly merge. Do you have output of a simulated marker != last_marker changelog output?
