Something containing Left and Right is easier to translate I believe. Leftwise and Rightwise perhaps?
For example in Greek "clockwise" and "counter clockwise" need many words to describe. "Clockwise" is: "Σύμφωνα με τους δείκτες του ρολογιού" But "Leftwise" is: "Αριστερόστροφα" "Rightwise" is: "Δεξιόστροφα" Both single words.
