Hello Peter,
Does Windows 8.1 have any kind of menu where shortcuts are created?
The link for KMyMoney should be there.
Otherwise, go to the bin folder in your screenshot, and look for a
kmymoney.exe and run it. That should start the program.
If that works, I guess there must be some way to create a shortcut to
start the application from a more convenient location.
