 This is a very business facing role in the financial/insurance industry
based primarily in NJ.

 Client expects 5 days a week on-site and occasional weekend support. Remote
work can be negotiated.

 

 SAP FI/CO and SEM-BCS Consultant
The SAP FI/CO & BCS Consultant combines knowledge and experience gained
within the business and functions with a strong understanding of current SAP
ECC6 and BCS systems.
The incumbent provides users of SAP with technical configuration support and
expertise in effectively conducting activities within all the areas of SAP.

Responsibilities in FI/CO role:
. Provide functional and technical configuration expertise in support of SAP
ERP and related applications suite with a concentration in
Financial/Controlling and a familiarity with all other modules.
. Experience which demonstrates an understanding of the technical aspects of
the SAP FI/CO modules and business processes.
. Experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of the business
processes within a financial environment .
. Work closely with the business functional community to investigate and
resolve business process issues and proactively propose creative solutions
. Assists with SAP user training development, documentation and delivery.
. Develop and implement resolutions for SAP processing issues identified by
the businesses in Financial Asset Management environment

Responsibilities in BCS role:
The role will be responsible for creating financial consolidation solutions.
The Consultant will provide technical and functional knowledge on the
configuration of BW-based SEM-BCS on consolidation and will interact with
client contacts to ensure alignment of the design with business strategy and
objectives.
Responsibilities include:
. Understanding and experience with US accounting standards and practices is
a plus.
. Knowledge of configuration of the functions relevant to the process of
consolidation, load data, the Net Results, Auto Adjust (reclassifications
and allocations), elimination of intercompany transactions, equity,
participation of consolidation (investment) and validations.

Education:
. Bachelors degree required, preferably CPA or CA (Chartered Accountant) -
Mandatory

Experience:
. Minimum 5 years experience in configuring the SAP FI/CO modules.
. Minimum 2 years experience in configuring the BCS modules.
. In depth FI/CO and BCS configuration experience.
. Minimum 3 full SAP life cycle implementations with complete responsibility
for the FI/CO modules in at least 1.
. General business process background, with solid understanding of
accounting and financial processes. Experience in the financial industry is
a plus.
. Experience with the activities associated with financial close processes.
