The main deliverables of this engagement will be Excel, Word and Visio documents. This position will focus on software applications ranging from point-of-sale, patron management, financial data-collection and configuration/reporting. As a Sr. Business Analyst consultant you will work with applications and tools that utilize the latest Microsoft development technologies. The consultant will work directly with team members of the business analysis and quality assurance team, and take direction from them, and also report to the IT Manager for business analysis and quality assurance. Performance will be based on the ability to translate ideas into written requirements – quickly and completely. Key Responsibilities · Prepare software requirement documentation, test plans, and ensure internal teams are well versed in the requirements of the project. · Document technical requirements, workflow designs and application design requirements determined from meetings and discussions with the architecture and development teams. · Support the quality assurance team by creating test scripts and performing testing at various stages of the software development life cycle. · Devise new approaches and recommend solutions to solve business needs. Bring representatives from the corporate management team, end users and clients to analyze and define information requirements. Research potential solutions and prepare cost-benefit documentation for analysis. · Explore current technologies to transform legacy processes into new user-friendly experiences. · Create technical documents and communicate processes to internal teams. Requirements · Solid technical writing ability. A Bachelor's degree coupled with the desire to succeed in a high intensity development environment is essential. 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst for information technology. Prior experience in some of the following areas: Food service and/or facility operations, finance, accounting, marketing, and/or information technology. Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong facilitation and problem solving skills are required. Knowledge of project planning techniques and project life cycle planning is desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, Microsoft Project and Project Server, Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2008, Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 and Microsoft SharePoint Services is a big plus -- Regards Shiny Vijayan Amtex Systems Inc.
