*Title:** Systems Engineer - Senior Needed*
Primary Skills: Tomcat, Apache and JBOSS

Rate: $50 Max
*Work Summary*:
The candidate filling this Systems Engineers Sr. position will ensure that
all environments (development, test, stage and production) are running and
up to the current versions of code for all applications. The individual in
this role will work with multiple development teams, security and architects
to ensure what is developed follows the standards and processes. He/she
will deal with 3rd party vendors to ensure the infrastructure is in place to
support the needs of the application areas they support as well as act as
the liaison between development and the vendor.
*Responsibilities:*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Work with development teams and provide assistance regarding:
Integration of applications on designated platforms and resolve
any issues with development
Network infrastructure such as firewalls, networks, routers, etc
and implementation of applications into complex network environments
Operations and production supportability
Enforcement of Security standards
· Monitor the overall system
· Coordinate with 3rd party vendor on maintenance schedules
· Coordinate with 3rd party vendor for infrastructure upgrades and
patches to ensure security and updates are up-to-date to secure the
environments
· Coordinate with Performance Engineer to assist on tuning of
applications
· Be liaison with other groups within IT (EAO, IPO, Release
Management, Software Test and Change Management) in their daily activities
to ensure smooth transition from one environment to another and on-time
delivery of applications
*Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
*Experience*: The ideal candidate must have:
· 5 years experience within the deployment, engineering and support
roles.
· 5 years of experience preferably with web technologies such as
Tomcat, Apache and JBOSS.
· Ability to work well in group settings as well as an individual,
manage own deployment schedules and work with other team members to
accomplish required tasks with minimal supervision.
· Experience with deployment of technologies into different
environments
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include*:
· Experience with the following technologies:
· Web Technologies (including Tomcat, Apache, JBOSS)
· Networks Technologies (Firewall, Load Balancers)
· Certifications in Linux and JBOSS a plus
· Experience in following established Change Management and
Engineering Processes
· Experience in working with developers and architecture teams
· Attention to detail, meeting established deadlines without error
and impact on production
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to multi-task between projects
· Ability to work with many different types of people
· Ability to work as a member of a team
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

*Education*
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with minor in Computer
Information Systems or business-related curricula, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and
abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certifications in Linux and JBOSS a
plus.
