We use jquery to validate a LOT of information on the member entry form
(memberentry.pl), but most of the time things that need to be corrected or
updated get missed because staff are verifying information on the
circulation.pl or moremember.pl and clicking renew without editing the patron.
We also require that the staff put their initials in borrower attribute each
time the account is edited or updated, and this step is getting missed because
they are not going into the patron form.
It would be helpful if we could require that the renew link only be available
in the memberentry.pl page. It would be even better if instead of showing a
renew link, that if the account is expired, that a dropdown be selected to
renew and the form saved. That way our validation would still catch
everything, and they can't just go into the form and hit renew and bypass all
the validation.
