I agree that this is a desirable change in behavior, but this patch has no effect on master: * looks like there are two version of the validate1 function in the template; the second one was the one that needed to be changed to get the calendar widget to display the way you want. I suspect that the first one can be removed entirely. * the patch doesn't include any changes to circ/circulation.pl, which includes a test on $duedatespec that prevents loans from being made with a specified due date of today. Please complete and resubmit.
