Okay, so best practice would be to put it all into 082$b something like "Sch56c
1953"? Will Koha automatically then copy the 082$a and 082$b fields into 952$o
or do I have to populate 952$o before I migrate the data?

Under 082 there is an option called Item Number which can be used as Cutter
number or Author mark

Hello,

The library I'm trying to convert to Koha (Dewey) sometimes uses a shelving
sequence number after the cutter (usually a year). Where would this number go
in the MARC21 record? Would it just be part of 082$b or would it go in another
field?

Thanks, David
