Hi, I have a seperate branch of kopete, at " branches/work/soc-logging-framework/kopete<http://websvn.kde.org/branches/work/soc-logging-framework/kopete/plugins/history/>" where I am working on the history plugin for logging into akonadi. 2 days back I found a bug, which I am unable to find what the root cause of it is.
The bug is as follows. When there is an incoming message and the the no of lines of chat in our chat file(assume 3) is less than the value in our config(assume 7), then that new incoming message is getting attached at the top of the chat window. While we have enough chats(no of lines of chat we have n the log is enough, assume 8) then that incoming message is attached at the end. I am attaching screenshots , so that you can take a look. I am unable to find out why is it working in once case, while not working on another. I wonder if someone can throw some light on why this may be happening! This problem is only in my modified plugin and not in the existing history plugin. I have tried but haven't been able to figure out where the problem lies.
