Worked this time. I must have missed a character in my copy/paste
operation. "l" is pretty thin, especially with this variable-width
font that is forced on my by Google gmail.
The point I was trying to make was that there was about a decade of
Unix before the advent of what people think of nowadays as ancient
original computers
