Bad. Ant is an example of bad bahavior.
Ant is XML. Unlike most people, that doesn't make it a priori bad for me. In fact, I approve of using XML because I don't have to think about any silly internationalization. Make everything UTF-8 and forget about it.
However, Ant is a static description of a dynamic problem. As such, people tie themselves into knots trying to work around that. People are going through all manner of machinations to work around the lack of state, lack of conditionals, etc.
